Egg Drop

I think the reason my egg drop was good is because of our parachutes. Keith and I decided to use one big parachute on the 12 foot drop and add a second smaller one on the bigger drop. Ours worked excellently and went down at about like 2 1/2 feet per second so it did pretty well. Also, I think it worked well because we had a back up plan. Using a plastic bag and some paper towels, we had the egg wrapped up safely just in case the parachutes didn't work and didn't slow it down enough.


I was disapointed when the egg didn't make it the second time we dropped it from the tall one. Even though we had to take off the parachutes, I thought that we did a good enough job protecting the egg that it would still live. I thought wrong. I think we could have improved our drop a little better by using something other than paper towels. Cotton might have worked better. But ah well, better luck next time.

I learned how to fly a spacecraft into outerspace. And how to order room service. i also learned that you can lose feeling in a body part if u get stung by a jellyfish.

World War 1

What I learned in my research paper is almost everything about World War 1. I learned tanks were invented during this war and torpedos were used for submarines. It was a very important war in the history of the world. It was very bad.

Im looking forward to Galveston. I love to swim. Also im looking forward to going to mission control. i wanna learn how to fly a space ship. oh yea. And the hotel. I love hotels. They are AWESOME!!! well i like this post and i hope u do too.

Iditarod

The Iditarod, if you didn't know is the hardest race on Earth. It is a dogsled race all the way across Alaska. Mushers have to mush across ar least 1,000 miles of hard, snowy terrain. The Alaskan outback is full of hard turns and rough ground while the Alaskan fronteir is filled with mountains and hills that the mushers and their dogs have to climb to get over. My favorite mushers are Lance Mackey and Bruce Linton. Lance Mackey has been through throat cancer and still has won three Iditarods in a row! Bruce Linton has diabetes and is a very good role model for diabetics around the world. He is living proof that diabetics can do anything if they put their mind to it. He has done two Iditarods, three ironmans, and five marathons! I like him because my friend is a diabetic and i want him to be all he can be.

Environmental Change

My environmental change is a forest fire. Sometimes what causes forest fires is drought or it getting way too hot. The most common place for a forest fire to hit is near Siberia, because it near the equator. A species that has been affected by forest fires is the hawk. The hawk lives up in trees and when a forest fire hits it burns down its tree and it doesn't have home anymore. It doesn't necessarily die out because it can go to another forest. My personal feelings about the condition is I don't like it because it kills a lot of animals and trees and puts a bunch of animals homeless. A website is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wildfire.

i would go and swim and hopefully have my girlfriend with me. :) I would go and play on the beach too. If she was with me we would probably go for a walk or just chill at the house. if we had a boat and a jet ski then i would go fishing or take a ride on the jet ski.

My Project

The project in English class that I'm doing is The CKC Hat! It's a skateboarding hat that is made of polyester instead of cotton! Polyester is much stronger and warmer than cotton. Most of your blankets, mittens, toboggans, and sweaters are made of polyester so you know that it will be warm. This hat is just one of the products CKC Inc. makes. I used bandwagon and testimonial categories in my speech.
